SAS Datalink System

Flight Progress info over ACARS

By Björn Syrén, SAS

Implemented: November 2002

This application allows the pilot to access flight progress information from the ground operations control system OPUS. It answers the question: "What is the status of flight XXX"? Schedules times are provided for flights not yet flown. Actual times and delay codes are provided for completed and ongoing flights.

March 2007: For long-haul flights this information is retrieved by HERMES and uplinked automatically after takeoff.

Example:

FLT PROGRESS INFO SK 944/LNRXX 23MAR07 343 34334 (UTC)
