FMS (Flight Management System) has been introduced operationally for

The wind information is used to optimize flight planning and reduce
fuel consumption. |

SAS
Braathens will start operational use of CPDLC (controller pilot data
link communications) as part of the Eurocontrol Link 2000 program.
This is possible as a result of the transfer of B737NG aircraft with
CPDLC avionics to SAS Braathens. SAS and SAS Braathens airlines will
between them be operating 20 CPDLC aircraft. More information here. |
