| 14OCT | Acars Takeoff Data Calculation (TODC)
for the SAS MD-80 fleet became operational 07OCT2002. Supports MD-81, MD-82,
MD-83 and MD-87 versions. The Q400 fleet is being updated with AOC database H1-510. The Air Botnia Avro RJ85 fleet is being updated with AOC database H2-505. The 5th A321 LN-RKI Gunnhild Viking has been delivered to SAS. See SAS Aircraft Fleet, The 2nd A330 OY-KBN Eystein Viking is expected this week. B737s have been re-registered. for the SAS Airbus A340 fleet became operational Monday 26AUG as planned. A capability for SAS ground staff to uplink freetext messages to Lufthansa flights has been implemented. |

next week.
Testing of Acars-TODC applications for the Dash-8-Q400, MD80 and A330 is

| 15MAY | Development of
an Acars Takeoff Data Calculation (TODC)
application for the SAS Airbus A321 fleet has been completed and tested.
It is expected to be declared operational next week. Acars TODC development for the A340, A330, Dash-8-Q400 and Boeing MD-80 fleets is in progress and is expected to become operational during 2002. The Boeing 737 and 767 fleets have successfully used Acars TODC since 1998/99. |
| 15MAY | NavCanada and Arinc this week upgraded the Gander OACC Oceanic Clearance service to the Arinc 623 standard format, meaning that electronic readback of the uplinked clearance is now supported. |

acars have been upgraded with version 3E AOC software. See SAS Aircraft Fleet. Datalink Figures for Feb-02 added. The Flow application was upgraded recently. Flow messages can now be acknowledged via a Flow Confirm downlink message. |
| 25MAR | Uplink of Transfer Information (TRIN) to the A321 cabin display system is expected to be activated this week. |
| 08MAR | Arinc has deployed a new ground station (RGS) at Wroclaw (WRO), Poland. |
| 06MAR | SAS has started to use the Airbus A340 on flights to the USA. Initially to Newark EWR. In connection with this SAS is also starting FANS ADS operations on the North Atlantic. This means that the aircraft generates and sends automatic position reports to air traffic control. |

| 12FEB | Arinc has deployed a ground
station (RGS) at Vilnius (VNO), Lithuania. The Transfer Information page has been updated. The TRIN system is in use at ARN, CPH and OSL and provides automatic/semi-automatic uplink of passenger transfer information to the cockpit printer. The information is also shown on the cabin displays in Boeing 767s and Airbus A340s. The Airbus A321 will be supported later this year. |

| 02FEB | Installation of Collins AOC version C3E has started in the B767, B737, MD-80 and MD-90 fleets. Airplanes equipped with the DLM-900 are at the same time upgraded with Core 6.3 sw. We will try to update SAS Aircraft Fleet page with the affected tail numbers from time to time. |
